About The Author
Native Minnesotan, Marlene Chabot, received a B.S. degree in education from St. Cloud State University, an A.A.S. business marketing degree from Anoka-Ramsey Community College, and a writer's certificate from the Institute of Children's Literature.
An avid mystery fan since she was a youngster, Marlene began her writing career in 1995. She has published 7 novels, one anthology, and six short stories. 4 short stories were for Minnesota anthologies--A Visit from Santa, The Missing Groom, Serving Up A Surprise, and More Than Lessons. Also 2 for Marco Island Writer's anthologies Volume 1 and 4--The Gulper Eel Lounge and the Scarf. She has also contributed to numerous freelance articles for magazines, newspapers, and other venues covering Central Minnesota.
The author's short story titled The Scarf competed against thousands of entries in the Neoverse 2016 Writers' competition and was chosen as a semi-finalist.
When not writing, Marlene's busy meeting readers, spending time with family, reading,
enjoying the outdoors, and watching mysteries on PBS.
