About The Author

Native Minnesotan, Marlene Chabot, is a member of Sisters in Crime. She received a B.S degree in education from St. Cloud State University, an A.A.S. business marketing degree from Anoka-Ramsey Community College, and awriter's certificate from the Institute of Children's Literature.

 

An avid mystery fan since she was a youngster, Marlene began her writing career in 1995. She has published six novels and six short stories. 4 short stories were for Minnesota anthologies--A Visit from Santa, The Missing Groom, Serving Up A Surprise, and More Than Lessons and 2 for Marco Island Writer's anthologies Volume 1 and 4--The Gulper Eel Lounge and the Scarf. She has also contributed to numerous freelance articles for magazines, newspapers, and other venues covering Central Minnesota.

 

Her short story, The Scarf, was selected as a semi-finalist in the 2016 Neoverse

competition which had thousands of entries.

 

When not writing, Marlene's busy meeting readers, spending time with family, reading,

enjoying the outdoors, and watching mysteries on PBS.
